Single Session Counselling
What it is?
Single session counselling is a brief counselling approach that focuses on specific issue or problem in just one session. This type of counselling is focused on providing immediate support to individuals dealing with a particular challenge.
Before the session, you will need to answer some questions to help determine your goals for the counselling session. A follow-up phone call will be scheduled a few weeks later to check in on your progress and see if you require further support.
Overall, single session counselling offers practical strategies, emotional support, and encouragement to help individuals address their concerns, make positive changes, and move forward in their lives.
How it can help and what it can help with?
Single session counselling can help with a range of issues, such as managing an immediate crisis, solving problems by gaining clarity, exploring different perspective, and creating practical solutions. It can also help with developing coping strategies to handle stress, anxiety and anger, improving communication skills, resolving conflicts or relationship difficulties, learning relaxation techniques, setting clear goals, and outlining steps to accomplish them. Additionally, it may involve suggesting further counselling or referring/signposting to other services for ongoing support.
How it works?
Single Session Counselling is available on a one-to-one basis, lasting 50 minutes each. Sessions can be conducted in person or remotely, with a fee of £60 per session. You will be asked to answer some questions prior to your session, and there will be a follow up phone a few weeks after your session.
